EIC consultants and therapists are experienced and educated in the fields of applied behavior analysis, psychology, special education, speech and language pathology, child development and early intervention. All programs are managed by an autism consultant and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Our consultants and therapists are local to Northeast Ohio and serve the following counties: Lorain, Cuyahoga, Medina, Summit, Portage, Lake and Geauga. The EIC team continues to rapidly expand in order to accommodate the growing needs of the metropolitan area.

Our Approach
Early Intervention Consulting believes that early intensive behavioral therapy is critical in the healthy development of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.  EIC will help guide parents and care takers through the difficult process of creating an intervention plan and will have on going collaboration with all therapists involved to provide a strong and effective team for the child.

Every child is a unique individual and deserves an individualized educational program that is tailored to the child’s strengths, weaknesses and learning style.   Programs are heavily focused on communication, language development and behavior modification.  Treatment plans emphasize the areas of fine motor, gross motor, conceptual knowledge, academic skills, play skills, safety, executive functioning skills, socialization, leisure skills, vocational skills, sensory integration and self -help skills.

EIC uses the best practice approach borrowing the necessary components of the following interventions to meet the child’s needs.

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Floor time / DIR Method
  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
  • Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped CHildren (TEACCH)
  • Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
  • Rapid Prompting Method (RPM)
  • Natural Environment Training (NET)
  • Pivotal Response Training (PRT)

Environmental Supports such as visual cues, schedules, timers, token economies, sensory integration strategies and social stories are used to enhance learning opportunities.Early Intervention Consulting is a data driven program that practices errorless learning and promotes positive behavioral supports.
